Our hand-reared babies come and go as they’re weaned and ready, so the exact mix of species changes all the time. For an up-to-date list of who’s available — and what’s coming in soon — it’s best to pop into the store or give us a quick call, and we can let you know the moment new birds are ready.

Before a bird joins your flock

Hand-reared parrots are brilliant, affectionate companions — and a real commitment, often for decades. A quick checklist of things worth thinking about (and questions we’re always happy to answer in store):

✓ Space for the right-sized cage, away from draughts and kitchen fumes
✓ A good base diet — quality pellets and seed, plus fresh veg and clean water
✓ Daily company and enrichment — hand-reared parrots crave interaction
✓ Realistic expectations on noise and mess, especially for the bigger species
✓ An avian-savvy vet for check-ups and the odd hiccup
